ShiftPilot Data Deletion Guide

Last updated: August 5, 2026

ShiftPilot stores your data on your device and — only if you enable the optional Pro iCloud sync — in your personal iCloud account. ShiftPilot has no user accounts and no developer-operated servers, so there is no server-side account or profile for us to delete: you are in full control of deletion, and everything below can be done without contacting us.

1. Delete Individual Records in the App

You can delete any employer, shift, shift template, or payment record directly in the app at any time. Deleting an employer also removes the data associated with it. If iCloud sync is enabled, deletions propagate to your other devices.

2. Delete All Local Data

Deleting the ShiftPilot app from your device removes the app's local database and settings from that device (standard iOS behavior: touch and hold the app icon → Remove App → Delete App).

Note: if you use iOS device backups, copies of the app's local data may persist inside your own device backups (iCloud Backup or computer backups) until those backups rotate or are deleted. Those backups belong to you and are managed through iOS.

3. Delete iCloud-Synced Data (Pro Sync Users)

If you enabled iCloud sync, a copy of your data exists in the CloudKit private database of your own iCloud account. We cannot access or delete it for you — only you can. Two ways to remove it:

A. From iOS Settings (works even after deleting the app): 1. Open Settings → [your name] → iCloud. 2. Open the iCloud storage management screen (Manage Account Storage / Manage Storage, wording varies by iOS version). 3. Find ShiftPilot in the list of apps using iCloud. 4. Choose Delete Data from iCloud (or turn the app's iCloud usage off and delete data when prompted).

B. From inside the app: Disable iCloud sync in ShiftPilot's settings. To remove synced data from iCloud, use Profile → Your data → Delete all data while iCloud sync is still enabled; the deletion then propagates to your iCloud private database. You can also manage ShiftPilot data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.

4. Notifications, Calendar Entries, and Photos

5. Purchase Records

Records of your App Store purchases (subscription or Lifetime) are held by Apple under your Apple Account and Apple's privacy policy. We cannot delete Apple's transaction records; manage them through Apple.

6. Data We Might Hold Outside the App

The only personal data we could ever hold is what you send us yourself — for example, a support email. To have such correspondence deleted, email picirigavasile@icloud.com and we will delete it within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.
